About the Short Rib cut

The short rib cut of beef is derived from the lower portion of the cow's rib section, specifically from the ribs closer to the plate primal cut. These ribs are typically cut into short lengths, hence the name "short ribs." They consist of meat interspersed with layers of fat and connective tissue, which gives them a rich, flavourful taste and a tender texture when cooked properly. Short ribs are well-suited for slow cooking methods like the bbq or slow roasting and are a huge crowd pleaser.
